What is Equine Rehabilitation?

Have you ever sprained an ankle, broken a bone, or had surgery? It is the standard of care for humans to receive professional, evidence-based Physical Therapy following injury, prolonged immobilization, or new onset of pain with everyday activities. Physical Therapists are experts in progressive overload of tissues to optimize healing, decrease pain, and return to prior level of function. Why not provide the same care for our athletic four-legged friends? Teton Equine Rehab offers rehabilitation services including post-op return to activity, tendon and ligamentous injury recovery, sport performance aches and pains, and more. We work under supervision of, and referral from your Veterinarian. After examination, we provide your Veterinarian with our examination findings, a comprehensive and individualized rehab plan, and all relevant updates and progress your horse makes under our care. Treatment generally includes therapeutic exercise, hands-on therapy, owner education, modalities an more!
